Sobre Luana
Hello! I’m Luana, a Brazilian language graduate with a degree in Portuguese and English and a postgraduate specialization in English Translation and Text Revision.
Languages have always been a passion of mine, and I truly enjoy helping people understand not only the words they are learning, but also the culture and everyday expressions behind them.
As a native Brazilian Portuguese speaker with a strong background in English, I understand the challenges that English speakers can face when learning Portuguese. This allows me to explain differences between the two languages clearly and make difficult concepts easier to understand.
What motivates me as a teacher is seeing a student go from “I don’t understand this” to “Oh, now I get it!” I believe learning a language should feel useful, meaningful, and connected to real life.
I’m patient, attentive, and always willing to adapt my explanations to the student. My goal is to create a comfortable environment where you can ask questions, make mistakes, practice, and gradually gain confidence using Brazilian Portuguese.

My lessons are designed for foreigners who want to learn Brazilian Portuguese in a practical, clear, and natural way — whether you are a complete beginner or already have some knowledge of the language.
As a language graduate specialized in Portuguese and English, I believe that learning a language should go beyond memorizing grammar rules. My approach focuses on understanding how and why Brazilians actually use the language in everyday situations.
Each lesson is adapted to the student's level, goals, and learning style. We can work on conversation, pronunciation, vocabulary, listening, reading, grammar, or a combination of these skills.
I like to teach through real-life examples, practical situations, comparisons with English when helpful, and simple explanations that make new concepts easier to remember. Instead of simply correcting a mistake, I explain the reason behind it and give examples that help the student recognize and use the correct form naturally.
Depending on your goals, we may practice ordering food at a Brazilian restaurant, introducing yourself, talking about your daily routine, traveling in Brazil, communicating at work, or simply having a conversation about everyday life.
My goal is for you to understand what you are saying, feel comfortable using Brazilian Portuguese, and gradually become more confident communicating with native speakers.
Lessons are suitable for beginners, intermediate and advanced students, and can be personalized according to your needs and interests.
