• Can you tell us about your first experience using a computer?

  I started using computers when I was three years old, I can't tell you that I used to do much complex things with it, but I can assure you that I was playing the game of "snake" well ahead of the people who only discovered them in those old Nokia phones!

• What is the technological evolution that has marked you most and what will be, in your eyes, a turning point in this field?

  There was a time when only a few people used to use computers, it was not a mainstream thing at all, then suddenly, everyone started using them and now the same people can't live without them. I think that I was lucky in the way that I have seen its good points and bad points before most and now I feel like I can distance myself easier than most as well.

• Explain your expertise, your interest in it and, more broadly, its importance in the computer world.

  I focused in the last few years on JavaScript technologies, the reason for it was simple: everyone was using it! I learned with time that it is not really about the most interesting and innovative language, there are plenty of more interesting languages then JS but this is where most work is being done at the moment, and I believe that its role in the technology field is just going to grow, or at least my knowledge in it will be transferable to the "new" kid on the block.

• Do so-called 'visionaries', such as Bill Gates, Steve Jobs and Mark Zuckerberg inspire you or do you have other role models?

  Not really. One just has to open up the media curtain to see that theirs stories are not as impressive as they look, there are lots of hard working people, who gave their lives and blood to build what they boast of creating themselves.

• Provide a valuable anecdote related to your subject or your days at school.

  I remember saying many years ago: "Wow, javascript, isn't it that old language that people used to make those silly games when I was a kid?

• What would you say to an uncomfortable person in front of a screen who says that "IT is too complicated"?

  Try making some bakes and cakes and you will see what is complicated, IT has a steep learning curve but after that it is very easy, different from other things that seem really easy at first just to learn that they can get really difficult.
  
  IT can get really complex, but the basics are simple. It was made for humans anyway!

• What are your other passions, related or non-related to computers?

  I like hiking, diving, reading books and spending time with my friends. I love animals too, I can't say I want to change the world. But I am sure working to make it a better place in my eyes.

• What makes you a Superprof in IT?

  I think that I care about each student individually, I don't have any structure or pattern and just want to make sure they will learn and leave the lesson happy. I am thrilled to see them thriving in life. That makes me enjoy my day!
