Sobre LEONARDO
Hello! My name is Leonardo. I’m Brazilian and currently living in Rio de Janeiro.
I have decided to start teaching conversational Portuguese after gaining experience helping a foreign friend learn it for a year on language meetings.
For my perspective, practicing conversation is one of the most important things when learning a new language. So, I decide to focus on that.
My hobbies are related to geek things, like games, comics, movies, fantasy books...
I have been studying Japanese for three years and hold an N4 JLPT certificate. Since childhood, I have been fascinated by Japanese culture as a whole and continue to enjoy learning about it to this day.
Thank you for reading this far! I’m new to this area, but if you’re interested, I’hope to work with you :)

My classes focus on conversation and building your confidence in speaking Portuguese.
We can talk about many different topics, like movies, books, culture...
And of course, use support materials, such as articles, videos, music and comics, or anything else you like.
I won't focus on explaining grammar rules (since I am not a portuguese graduated teacher), but I can answer some simple questions about it.
I can explain in English if needed. I can also try in Japanese, but only using simple phrases and words, as I’m not fluent yet.
I will do my best to adapt the lessons to your pace.
