Sobre Maayan
I am a professional composer, recording artist, and graduate of the Jazz Institute at the Rimon School of Music. My musical journey spans over 20 years, beginning with the piano at age 8, expanding to the saxophone at 10, and eventually incorporating keys, guitar, bass, and flute.
This multi-instrumental background has deeply shaped my perspective, allowing me to view music not just through one lens, but as a vast, interconnected language. I have applied these concepts professionally on my UK-label solo album "Contrast" and my electro-acoustic project "Floating Sheep," as well as in countless session recordings and live productions.
I love music, and I'd like to spread this love as much as I can.

This masterclass is designed for musicians of any instrument who want to break free from reading sheet music and rigid patterns. My goal is to teach you how to actually "speak" the language of jazz and modern improvisation.
Here is what we focus on:
Creative Language: Deep-dive into modern jazz theory, chord-scale relationships, and harmonic function.
Improvisation Systems: How to navigate complex chord changes, build melodic phrasing, and develop a spontaneous, creative voice.
The Psychology of Practice: I will teach you the personalized practice systems I developed at the Rimon Jazz Institute to ensure you are practicing with joy and purpose, not just running drills.
Whether you play guitar, piano, bass, or a wind instrument, these classes provide a safe, non-intimidating space to take your creative playing to the next level. Lessons are available in English and Hebrew.

Maayan was teaching me saxophone and I got from him not only the technical part of how to play, which he is teaching carefully, but also he is a great music theory teacher and he brings something of his own.
