Hello! My name is Ana, I am a native Portuguese speaker, born and raised in Portugal, who has lived abroad for a significant period of time.
I am experienced in teaching and tutoring students in several different subjects, and I am very flexible with my teaching approaches and lesson styles.
Since I love learning new languages and exploring new cultures as a hobby, I am eager to pass on my enthusiasm to learners of the Portuguese language, hoping that they find my lessons both interesting and challenging, and, of course, fun!

I offer European Portuguese individual lessons and tutoring sessions to anyone who is learning the language for the first time, trying to become conversational, or at an advanced level, looking forward to improving proficiency.
I am available to teach both in person (Lisbon area) or online.
Lessons are typically conversational in Portuguese (adapted to each level) and follow a plan adapted to the student's specificities, goals, and targets, ranging from learning or practicing phonetics, vocabulary, and grammar used in day-to-day conversations to advanced writing practice and guided reading of Portuguese literature.
Each student has access to an array of resources and materials that are tailored to his or her own individual needs.
Even though we focus on the European variant, every material used will act like a window that opens towards the intricacies of the (vast) Portuguese-speaking world.
My lessons are suitable for:
- Beginners
- Intermediate
- Advanced users.
Whether you are trying out your first steps or already have some knowledge of the language, we can adjust lessons that are suited to you!
