Sobre Carola
Who am I? Well, hi guys! My name is Carola. I'm 27, I'm Argentinian and I have been living in Brazil for the past four years. Ever since I was a little kid, I have shown interest in learning languages and understanding how people communicate in different countries. That led me to taking English classes at first and then also learning French, some German, Italian, Portuguese and even some Russian too. With some of these languages, I've had the experience of immersive learning ("informal learning" by being immerse in the country and culture) and with others I've learned the traditional, formal way (with classes and specific books and tests). Having these two takes on teaching/learning dynamics, I can tell you how each of them has its pros and cons and in my classes I always use this to create the best learning method for each student, their purpose and goal. With more than 10 years of experience teaching foreign languages and having learnt them since I was 7 years old; I can help you archive your goals of communicating in Portuguese like a local. I can show you the nuances there are between the formal and informal learning techniques and adapt our classes to your needs and expectations. We will find your strong suits on language learning and exploit them to your benefit. Besides the work done in class, I also like involving music/movies/videos/series/stand up shows and other kinds of audio/visual material to make the learning process more interesting, faster and more immersive.
