Sobre Stéphane
I'm a technologist with over 12 years of experience, including more than 5 years working in data science and machine learning. I hold an MSc in Software Engineering and have worked with Python daily across finance, fraud detection, and AI systems at companies in Japan and Europe. I've built and shipped software that real businesses rely on, which means I teach Python the way it's actually used, not just the way textbooks present it.
I genuinely enjoy explaining technical ideas clearly, and translating complex concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences is something I've done throughout my career. Teaching is how I give back what took me years to learn, and I find it rewarding to watch someone get unstuck. My goal is for you to understand the reasoning behind the code, so you can keep solving problems on your own long after the lesson ends. That, to me, is the whole point of teaching, and it's what I aim for in every lesson.

I teach Python by building real things, not memorizing syntax. Lessons are tailored to your goal: whether that's your first script, getting comfortable with data analysis using pandas, or writing cleaner production-quality code. A typical session starts with what you're stuck on or want to learn, then we work through it hands-on, with me explaining the reasoning behind each choice so you can do it alone next time.
What I bring is 12+ years working with Python across finance, fraud detection, and machine learning at companies in Tokyo and beyond. I've shipped code that real systems depend on, so I can show you not just how Python works but how it's actually used. I also speak French, Dutch, and English, some Japanese, and a bit of Portuguese (still learning that one myself), so we can usually work in whichever language suits you best.
Lessons suit complete beginners through to working developers who want to level up. If you're learning for data science or ML specifically, I can take you from basics to applied projects.
