Sobre Marísia
Hello, my name is Marísia but you can call me Mar ;)
Currently I teach children and teenagers aged 7 to 16 in Portuguese as a Non-Native Language, an experience that has allowed me to develop a patient, flexible, and student-centred approach to teaching. Working with learners from different backgrounds and proficiency levels has taught me how to adapt each lesson to the individual needs, pace, and goals of every student. In addition to language teaching, I also provide academic support, helping students strengthen their understanding of school subjects, build effective study habits, and gain confidence in their abilities.
I independently learned English and engage in daily conversations with native speakers (I love making new friends and have friends from different nationalities!), living abroad also was a major shift for my English.
I hold a C1 level in English according to the Language School - London Institute.
With three years of experience tutoring basic language skills, I take great pleasure in teaching children, young learners, or adults aiming to master their English or Portuguese :)
