Throughout my career, I have worked in Argentina, Brazil, Turkey, Colombia, and Peru, gaining valuable insights into diverse cultures and teaching methods. Currently, I focus on online teaching as I am pursuing a specialization in online education

Hello! My name is Alana, and I'm a Brazilian Portuguese teacher with a deep love for my country and its language. My goal is to share the beauty of the Portuguese language with people from all over the world.
I'm fluent in English and Spanish, and I can use these languages during our lessons if needed. However, my teaching method focuses on conversation right from the first class. From day one, you will already be speaking some phrases in Portuguese!
Instead of relying heavily on translation, I use a variety of tools like images, videos, and music to create a fun and contextualized learning experience. Together, we will simulate real-life situations, such as going to the supermarket, visiting a street market, or asking for directions.
Step by step, in a relaxed and enjoyable way, you’ll build confidence in your Portuguese skills. Soon, you’ll be ready to visit Brazil and communicate with Brazilians naturally. Let’s make learning Portuguese an exciting journey!
