Sobre SIPELILE
I'm a UK-qualified teacher (QTS) with an MA in Special and Inclusive Education from Roehampton University, London. My teaching career spans over two decades across British primary schools, including long-term classroom roles and specialist positions supporting children with SEN.
I've taught in a range of settings — mainstream primary classrooms, Montessori education, and specialist SEN provision — which means I've learned to adapt quickly to how each individual child learns best, rather than relying on a single method. I hold a Bachelor of Education degree alongside postgraduate qualifications in both special education and inclusive practice.
I now live near Lisbon and teach English and Primary Maths online, bringing the same care and structure I've applied throughout my career to every lesson. Parents can expect clear communication, steady progress tracking, and a calm, encouraging approach that helps children build both skills and confidence.

About My Classes
My teaching approach is built on patience, structure, and adapting to how each child learns best. I break lessons into small, achievable steps, use plenty of positive reinforcement, and adjust pace and materials based on how a child responds — a method that comes directly from my MA in Special and Inclusive Education and years working with children with SEN, including dyslexia, ADD and ADHD.
A typical class starts with a quick check-in on what the student is working on or struggling with, followed by focused, hands-on practice — phonics, reading, writing or maths — with regular breaks to keep younger learners engaged. I keep parents informed on progress and adjust the plan as we go, rather than following a rigid one-size-fits-all curriculum.
My specializations are Primary-level English and Maths, and supporting children with learning difficulties or additional needs who may need a different pace or approach than a typical classroom allows.
My classes are best suited to:
Primary-aged children needing extra support with reading, writing, or numeracy
Children with SEN, including dyslexia, ADD and ADHD
English learners building confidence and fluency for school or daily life.
Parents wanting a patient, qualified teacher who tailors lessons rather than following a generic script
