Sobre Carole
I’m Carole; I’m 35 years old and have been dancing since childhood.
I started with Rock’n’Roll at age eight, then spent seven years competing in Boogie-Woogie before discovering Lindy Hop in 2014. I was immediately drawn to the music, the joy, and the way of dancing with a partner while remaining deeply connected to the music itself.
I have been teaching Lindy Hop for over ten years, both through regular classes and at workshops and events across Europe. I’ve taught regularly in Paris, Toulouse, Brussels, and Bordeaux, and have also held teaching residencies in Rome and Munich.
Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to dance and teach alongside a wide variety of dancers and instructors. I’ve learned so much from all these encounters. In fact, I believe that teaching is also a form of learning: every person brings their own questions, their own way of understanding and moving, and encourages me to look at dance from a new perspective.
For me, dance is above all the expression—or the physical manifestation—of energy provided by the music and, in the case of partner dance, by one's dance partner as well.
Outside of dance, I have a very curious nature. Yoga accompanies me in my exploration of the body. Cooking has been part of my life since childhood, and sewing since my teenage years—two passions passed down through my family.
For the past five years or so, I’ve also discovered surfing—and, above all, the ocean. I’ve fallen deeply in love with it and remain closely connected to it.
I love its movement, its sound, its scent, its power, and everything it teaches us about ourselves.
For me, surfing is a long lesson in patience, self-reflection, and presence... and I simply love seeking out that movement and gliding across the waves. I also travel a great deal, driven by a desire to keep discovering, meeting people, learning, and seeing what exists elsewhere. Nature plays a vital role in my life; preserving it is something I care about deeply.
I am an authentic person with a zest for life; I love sharing above all else, and I often find myself filled with wonder—frequently in silence.
And if someone dances with me, what I would most like them to discover is the joy of moving to the music—and moving with another person.

I’ve been teaching for the past 10 years, both regularly and through workshops, and events across Europe. I have regularly taught in Paris, Toulouse, Brussels and Bordeaux , and have also had teaching residencies in Rome and Munich.
My teaching is built around three interconnected pillars: connection, technical foundation and musicality.
I place a strong importance on solid foundations. I love going back to what is simple and building from there. For me, strong foundations are what allow dancers to develop freedom, creativity and a deeper understanding of their movement, whether they are discovering the dance for the first time or are already experienced dancers, teachers or professionals.
At the heart of my approach is connection: learning to listen and communicate through the body, to give and receive information, and to truly dance with another person. Once the foundations are in place, connection becomes a way to bring the dance to life and to create something together with a partner.
And all of this is explored through musicality: understanding and responding to the music is one of the reasons I fell in love with this dance in the first place, and it remains a central part of what I love to explore and transmit. For me, the music is where the dance begins, and developing the ear helps dancers connect their technical foundations and their relationship with a partner to the music itself.
